Hi! I’m Andy.

I’m a senior marketing manager, community manager, and occasional web developer based in Ajax, Ontario. (It’s a small town just east of Toronto.)

Most of my work is with the GoDaddy Pro program, where we help aspiring web designers & developers start and grow their business.

My career on the web started in 2008 with a handful of freelance gigs. Since then, I’ve filled a bunch of roles for digital agencies and tech companies, including internal comms; front-end development; content strategy; and client services.

I started co-organizing tech meetups and community conferences in 2009. I’m currently co-organizing the WP Durham meetup group with my friend Matt Graham, and mentor other organizers through the Make WordPress Community team.

My offline interests include long bike rides, weekend road trips, casual gaming, dabbling in the arts, and coffee of all kinds.

About the blog

I started blogging in the mid-2000’s, but you won’t find many traces of it – I reboot my site every few years. This is the latest iteration. I moved from andymci.com to andymci.ca, trashed the archives, and rebuilt the blog from scratch.

Running under the hood:

Have a question? Let’s talk.

I’m always looking for new people to connect and collaborate with. You can also find me on Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
